Mads Østberg and co-driver Jonas Andersson is back in Norway, and ready for the fifth round of the 2011 Norwegian Championship with their Ford Fiesta S2000 rally car.

Aurskog-Høland rally starts Saturday 4th of June, with base on Bjørkelangen in Norway. The participants will drive through 13 stages with a total of 98.6 km. Mads Østberg has won this rally three times before in 2007, 2009 and 2010.

Last weekend Østberg and Andersson finished fifth overall in the World Rally Championship in Argentina. Now they are back home in Norway and looking forward to drive a home event.

    - We just came from a rally from the other side of the world, so it will be good to drive in my home region again. I like this rally and the road surface, so I think it will be fun, said Mads Østberg

Østberg has won the last two Norwegian Championship rounds, and stands with 110 points. His toughest competitor Anders Grøndal, who drives a Subaru Impreza WRC, is located on a 3rd place with 63 points before the last three rounds.

    - We had more chances to fight with Anders in the last rally than what we have here, but I never go to a rally to try to be number two. We are going to push hard to try to beat him, but it is a very fast rally and this event is one of sevens rounds that least suit the S2000 rally car. In relation to the Norwegian Championship it looks good for us, says Østberg.

The Norwegian Championship is important to drive for the duo Østberg/Andersson to keep up with the pace, because it is not always a test before a WRC event.

    - This rally is the only test we get before Rally Greece. The road surface is not similar to Greece, but the mils and just to drive the car is important for us, says a positive Østberg.

Mads Østberg and Jonas Andersson began the cooperation in Aurskog-Høland rally in Norway in 2009.

We ran our first rally together here two years ago, so we celebrate two year anniversary and we look forward to that, says co-driver Jonas Andersson with a big smile.
